Purpose

Fees and Charges are generally set within the
Fees and Charges Policy and as part of the budget setting process
to take effective from April each year. However, a new service
offer has recently been proposed within Bereavement Services and a
fee structure is required to support this. We propose to create a
new direct cremation service with a core fee for Lambeth residents
of £899.

Decision

To approve the new fees and charges set out in Section 2, to be
implemented as soon as the report is approved. These fees will be
valid from the report’s decision date until 31 March 2026 and
are forecast to generate additional in-year income of
£17,980.
