Purpose

The Kennington, Oval and Vauxhall (KOV)
Neighbourhood Plan is undergoing independent examination. A
decision must be made on whether to accept the examiner’s
recommendations on the neighbourhood plan.

Decision

To agree with the Examiner’s
recommendation that the draft Kennington, Oval and Vauxhall
Neighbourhood Plan, incorporating the modifications proposed by the
Examiner in their report and the additional modifications for the
purpose of correcting errors recommended by Officers (see Appendix
3), proceed to referendum and that the area of the referendum is
the designated Kennington, Oval and Vauxhall Neighbourhood
Area.
To grant delegated authority to the
Assistant Director of Policy and Placeshaping to take any steps
necessary to finalise the detailed wording of the version of the
draft Plan that proceeds to referendum (limited to correcting
errors).
To grant delegated authority to the
Assistant Director of Policy and Placeshaping to publish a decision
statement in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Neighbourhood
Planning (General) Regulations 2012 and to carry out all necessary
arrangements for holding the referendum.
To approve the expenditure of
£130,000 from the general fund budgets as set out in the
Finance section of this report in order to cover the cost of
holding the referendum.
