procurement process undertaken to appoint a contractor to undertake
the construction works related to the creation of a new pedestrian
access to West Norwood Cemetery(WNC) from Robson Road, involving
the formation of a new opening within the existing boundary wall in
the northeast corner of the South Metropolitan (West Norwood)
Cemetery.
This report recommends the appointment of WC Evans and Sons to
undertake the construction works related to the South Metropolitan
(West Norwood) Cemetery: Robson Road Entrance NLHF Project. The
contract is expected to commence from September 2025 with an
overall contract sum of £235,778 aiming to achieve practical
completion and handover by March 2026.
The report also recommends the acceptance of grant of
£225,000 from National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) to pay
towards these works.
