Purpose

To issue a notice of variation and implement
changes to our cashless parking charges to deliver on the
priorities set out in the Kerbside Strategy and Air Quality Action
Plan.

Decision

1.   
To authorise the proposal to increase cashless On-street and
Off-Street (car park) charges from 4.8% to a maximum of 49%. (A
full breakdown of the increases is displayed in Tables 2 to 3).
 
2.   
The above recommendations have a potential combined additional
income of £2,815,351.23 per annum commencing February
2026.
 
3.   
To authorise the publication of Variation Notices under Section 46A
and Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, in order
to give effect to the recommended changes proposed in this
report.
 
4.   
To have regard to the Equalities Impact Assessment prepared for the
purposes of this report (Appendix A).
