Purpose

This report seeks approval to extend the
contract with Lambeth Contact for the delivery of a SEND (Special
Educational Needs and/or Disabilities) Parent Participation and
Engagement Service for Lambeth Parents, Carers, Families, and
Guardians. The original contract has been in effect since 01
December 2021, and this extension will run from 01 April 2025 until
31 March 2027.

Lambeth Contact directly supports parents, carers, families, and
guardians in managing the needs of the children and young people
they care for. It also assists them in navigating the SEND (Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities) system, striving to promote
positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND in the
borough.

Decision

To waive the council’s Contract Standing
Orders under section 17.1 to extend a contract with Lambeth Contact
to provide a SEND (Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities) Parent Participation and Engagement Service for
Lambeth families caring for and supporting children and young
people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
(SEND).

 

To agree funding for the contract extension to
the contract with Lambeth Contact from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2027, for
24 months.

 

To note the extension
value of £164,642 includes a spend of £68,600 incurred
between 01 April 2025 and 01 November 2025.
