Purpose
In 2021/22 the Office for Health Improvement
and Disparities (OHID) awarded Lambeth a Grant to improve the
response to rough sleepers who are problematic drug and or alcohol
users and those who re risk of rough sleeping. Contracts were
issued to providers at the time for 15 months to March 2022 with a
provision to extend should all parties agree.
The award to Lambeth was on the basis that we already had a working
model in place delivered by partners with expertise to support
positive outcomes for this cohort. The grant therefore funds
activity across a partnership of 6 agencies including Lambeth
borough and voluntary sector organisations.
In 2022, OHID extended funding for a further 2 years to cover the
period 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2024, however formal
confirmation was delayed until September 2022. The combined value
of the grant for the two-years was £1,064,569.
No formal contract extensions were requested at this time for
providers although work to do so had started.
For 2024/24, OHID grant will extend funding for a further 12 months
to cover the period 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. The grant
value will be £556,022
The proposed decision will be to agree 12-month extension to March
2025 to allow the existing provider partnership to continue the
development of its response to a complex and vulnerable adult
cohort.
