Purpose

This report proposes the direct award of a new
one-year contract for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) services to
Delta 4 Services Ltd (D4S), following the conclusion of the current
contract in September 2024. This decision is necessitated by the
limitations of the existing framework agreement and aims to ensure
continuity of enhanced operational efficiencies and service
delivery within the Revenue and Benefits division. This strategic
decision aligns with the council’s plans to develop and
introduce a planned corporate RPA solution in the near future. This
approach aims to balance immediate operational needs with the
long-term vision, ensuring minimal disruption and supporting a
competitive procurement environment in subsequent phases.

Decision

Approve the direct award of a new
one-year RPA contract to Delta 4 Services Ltd for the amount of
£185,000 to commence 01 October 2024 to 30 September
2025.

 

Authorise the Chief Digital and Data
Officer to finalise and execute the contract details in alignment
with the council's operational and financial guidelines.
