Purpose

This report seeks approval to allocate funding
of £1,850,000 from the unallocated Brixton Rec Refurbishment
capital budget of £3,500,000 to deliver essential Mechanical
and Electrical upgrade.

The funding was approved by Cabinet on 20th July 2020 as part of
the five-year Capital Investment Strategy

Decision

1.         
To allocate the proposed capital investment of £3,232,410
from the currently unallocated theme budget for Brixton Rec
Refurbishment in the existing Capital Investment Programme (CIP)
for projects to be carried out from 31 October 2024 to 30 September
2025, namely essential enhancement works to the mechanical and
electrical infrastructure of the building and upgrades,
reconfiguration and refurbishment of existing spaces to allow for
better utilisation and new income streams.
