Purpose

Contract for the migration and hosting of the
Council’s IT infrastructure: virtual server infrastructure
and data storage, from the on-premises (physical) data centre
hosted via Virgin Media/O2, to a Cloud Infrastructure
Platform.

Decision

To approve the award of a Call off
from Crown Commercial Services (CCS) RM7155.13, G-Cloud 13
Framework for the provision of Cloud Hosting Services by Amazon Web
Services (AWS) under the OVGA (One Government Value Agreement) for
an initial contract term of three years from 1 November 2024 to 30
October 2027 at a cost of £462,290.
To subsequently approve the award to
Xtravirt for the professional services under the Crown Commercial
Services RM7155, G Cloud 13 framework agreement at a total cost of
£260,000 for the duration of nine months for mobilisation and
migration. The contract start date will be 1 November 2024.
To allocate £335,000 from the
currently unallocated theme budget for ICT Infrastructure in the
existing Capital Investment Programme (CIP) approved by Cabinet in
July 2020 to fund the staffing and professional fees costs.
