Purpose

Highways Asset Improvement programme for 2024-25

To allocate investment from the approved CIP ‘theme’
budget for the Highways Improvement Programme (HIP) to the relevant
project budgets for carriageway and footway renewal and highways
asset improvements.

To approve the next programme of carriageway and
footway works for the 2024/25 Highways Improvement
Programme.

To allocate £5.3m from
the currently unallocated theme budget for the Highways Improvement
Programme in the Capital Investment Programme (CIP) approved by
Cabinet on 7 October 2024. This funding will be used to deliver the
Highways Asset Improvement Programme in 2024/25, with £3.2m
scheduled to be spent by March 2025 and the remaining £2.1m
to be spent by Q2 2025/26.
