Purpose

To issue scheme approval for the construction
of Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) in Norwood Park as part of
the delivery of Lambeth Sustainable Drainage Programme 2022-25 to
support Climate Mitigation response identified in the Climate
Action Plan, including: 10% of all rainwater on impermeable
surfaces in Lambeth to be sustainably managed by 2030.

To release funding to carry out the above. The scheme will be
funded through Thames Water Strategic Partnership Funding and
allocated CIP funding budget approved in the July 2020 Cabinet
report.

Decision

1.         
To grant scheme approval for
the proposals described in Section 2 of this report and illustrated
in the design drawings attachedin Appendix B,at anestimated costof
£1,415,204 to
be implemented in January 2025 and complete by March
2025.
 

2.         
To grant scheme approval for
the proposals described in section two of this report and
illustrated in the design drawings attachedin Appendix B,at
anestimated costof £1,415,204
to be implemented in Autumn 2024 and
complete by March 2025. Note that this includes £126,204 of design costs
which have already been incurred.

 

3.         
To transfer a total of £1,289,000 from the
existing project budget for Parks 2022-2025 SuDS within
the existing Capital Investment Programme
(CIP) approved by Cabinet in July 2020 towards the implementation
of the schemes proposed in Section 2 of this report.
 

4.         
To have regard to the Equality Impact Assessment
prepared for the purposes of this report (Appendix A).
