About

The Planning Policy Cabinet Advisory Group is a cross-party committee that scrutinises and provides input on local plan-making and other planning policy matters for Lancaster. It oversees the preparation of Development Plan Documents, Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, and related documents like the Local Plan Timetable and Statement of Community Involvement. The group ensures plans are evidence-based and meet national planning policy tests. It also reviews charging schedules for infrastructure funding, monitoring reports, supplementary planning documents, and advice notes. The committee's recommendations are presented to the Cabinet and Full Council for final decisions, and it plays a role in reviewing conservation areas and other planning policies.
