About

The Urgent Business process allows the Lancaster City Council to make decisions that cannot wait until the next scheduled meeting. In such cases, the Chief Executive, in consultation with the relevant committee Chairman (and the Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Cabinet decisions), can make these urgent decisions. These decisions are then publicly published and reported to the next full meeting of the decision-making body.
