Purpose

The Director of Public Health
approved the direct award of the service for Irish Older People to
Leeds Irish Health and Homes for a period of 18 months commencing
on 1st April 2024 (with an option to extend for a period of up to 3
years in any combination) in the sum of £78,750
(£52,500 per annum) using Contract Procedure Rule (CPR) 9.5
on the grounds that they are genuinely the only provider that can
meet the Council’s specific
requirements. 
The value of the contract if the
full extension period was to be utilised would be £236,250 
Any extension decision will be
recorded in a separate report as a direct consequence of the
original decision
 

Decision

The Director of Public Health approved the
direct award of the service for Irish Older People to Leeds Irish
Health and Homes for a period of 18 months commencing on 1st April
2024 (with an option to extend for a period of up to 3 years in any
combination) in the sum of £75,000 (£50,000 per annum)
using Contract Procedure Rule (CPR) 9.5 on the grounds that they
are genuinely the only provider that can meet the Council’s
specific requirements. The value of the contract if the full
extension period was to be utilised would be £225,000 Any
extension decision will be recorded in a separate report as a
direct consequence of the original decision
