Decision

The Chief Digital and Information Officer
approved the use of Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contract
Regulations 2015 – Negotiated Procedure without prior
publication of a Contract Notice Canon (UK) Limited to directly
award a contract to Canon (UK) Limited for the support &
maintenance of the existing Canon printer fleet for the period 1st
May 2023 – 30th April 2024. The cost of making a direct award
of the contract for this period is £476,267.67 till 30th
April 2024.
The decision to award the contract is being taken on technical
grounds so Canon (UK) Limited can continue to provide support on
the existing estate (software and hardware) whilst the Council
undertakes an approved procurement for a new managed print
solution.
