Purpose

Brief Description

Approval will be sought for authority to procure a Leeds Mindful Employer service.  The Leeds Mindful Employer Service is an overarching city-wide initiative to support employers and employees to understand the impact of poor mental health in the workplace.

Decision

The Director of Public Health has:-

a)  Granted authority to utilise the provision under Schedule 5 of the Procurement Act 2023 to directly award the Leeds Mindful Employer contract to Leeds Mind from 1st April 2027 for a period of 5 years with an option to extend for a period of up to 60 months in any combination. Contract award is contingent upon the provider meeting the required quality standards.

b)  Approved a confirmed budget of £64,847.50 per annum, a value of £324,237.50 for the initial 5 year contract period (a total of £648,475 if the extension is fully utilised).
