Purpose
The Woodhouse Lane Gateway scheme is a proposed set of sustainable transport measures comprising enhanced bus, pedestrian and cycle facilities between Leeds city centre and the University of Leeds, as set out in the previous key decision dated 30th May 2025 in the Report to Chief Officer (Highways & Transportation), ‘City Regional Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) Woodhouse Lane Gateway’.
This report is seeking approval from the Chief Officer, Highways & Transportation, to inject and spend an additional sum of money allocated to the scheme from the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) funding, awarded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA), to enable the scheme to be delivered in full. Since the previous report to the Chief Officer (Highways & Transportation), the final tender returns have been provided by contractors, and the funding allocated to the scheme has been increased, proportionately.
Decision
The decision maker has approved the recommendations set out in the report attached with effect from the decision date.
