Decision

The Director of Adult Health & Social Care is recommended to approve the award of contract for the onsite care and support service at Laurel House to Comfort Call Limited. The contract is forecast to commence the 1st February 2027 subject to site completion and run until 31st January 2030, with options to extend for up to 24 months in any combination. Any extension will be subject to a separate decision at the appropriate time. Based on the successful tender submission, the estimated annual value of the care and support service is £559,110 per annum (at 2026/27 rates). The estimated contract value for the initial three-year term is £1,677,330, increasing to a total potential contract value of £2,795,550 should the full two-year extension period be exercised. In addition, contract expenditure of £20 per annum will be incurred by the Council as part of the contract arrangement to provide direct financial consideration between Adult Social Care and the recommended service provider.
