About
The Policy and Performance Advisory Committee undertakes overview and scrutiny functions for Lewes District Council, reviewing the Council's performance and scrutinising decisions made by the Cabinet. It provides input on key matters before they go to the Cabinet for decision and can investigate the actions of external organisations affecting Lewes residents. The Committee's work is advisory and it has statutory 'call-in' powers to review Cabinet decisions. Review Panels may be appointed to assist with its activities, but these panels do not have decision-making powers.
