consultation with residents for the Seafront Strategy 2050,
reporting the initial findings and seek recommendations
to:

Continue with next stages of consultation
•           
Develop a Seafront Stakeholder Group
•           
Proceed with an initial funding bid to the National Lottery
Heritage Funding.

Content

(Key
decision):
 
(1) To note the key findings
from the public consultation undertaken in summer 2024, which
provides public opinion on the future of Eastbourne
seafront.
 
(2) Agreement to undertake
further engagement exercises on options through stakeholder
workshops
 
(3) To support an application
to the National Lottery Heritage fund to enable pipeline planning
for assets and development to deliver local community heritage
across Eastbourne.
 
(4) To support the
establishment of a new Seafront Stakeholder Group comprising key
partners to support the implementation of the evolving
strategy.
