Purpose

Report to update on the
Strategic Finance Programme and the results of an assurance review
undertaken by CIPFA in the summer of 2024.

Content

(Key
decision):
 
(1) To note the progress of the
Strategic Finance Programme, in addressing the council’s
financial challenges.
 
(2) To note the progress made
in addressing the matters identified through the Assurance
Review
 
(3) To approve the grant of a
lease (as set out in section 3.3 of the report) to Greenwich
Leisure Limited (GLL) of the Sovereign Centre together with any
associated documentation and to agree delegated authority for the
Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Regeneration and Planning,
in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Tourism, Leisure,
Accessibility and Community Safety, to conclude arrangements with
GLL, including authorising the signature of all
documentation.
