Purpose
To seek Cabinet approval for
the adoption of the Eastbourne Seafront Strategy 2050, which sets
out a long-term vision and strategic framework for the regeneration
of Eastbourne’s seafront through to 2050. The strategy aligns
with the Pevensey to Eastbourne Coastal Management Plan and
responds to extensive public consultation, setting out priorities
across heritage, culture, tourism, health and leisure, and

Regeneration and Planning, in consultation with the Leader of the
Council and also the Cabinet Member for
Heritage, Culture and Seafront, to progress
all phase 1 deliverables of the Strategy, including feasibility
work, and stakeholder engagement, and making funding bids for
opportunities including National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts
Council England, and other relevant sources.
