Purpose
The purpose of the Corporate Debt Policy is to set out guidelines on how the Council will bill, collect and recover debts owed to the Council. It sets out the framework for a consistent and sensitive approach to the recovery of debts. The recommendation to Cabinet is to approve the Policy.
Decision
(Key Decision):
- To approve the Corporate Debt Policy at Appendix 1 to the Cabinet report.
- To delegate authority to the Assistant Director - Revenues and Benefits to make amendments to the policy as may be required by virtue to changes in industry best practice, in law, statutory guidance or for the purposes of making administrative changes.
