Purpose
The Lewes District Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule came into force on 1 December 2015 and CIL money has been collected ever since. The report will present the recommendations of the CIL Executive Boards following the assessment of ESCC A259 Bid. This report will ask to agree the release of funds from the CIL governance pots as recommended by the CIL Executive Board.
Decision
(Key Decision):
- To agree that funds from the CIL Strategic Pot (equivalent to 15% of the total package of works in Lewes District Area, identified in the Major Road Network Package), as recommended by the CIL Executive Board be held in the Strategic CIL Pot (account) as a Local Contribution.
- To note the retained funds to deliver the measures in Lewes District Area will only be released (for the A259 Major Road Network Package) upon the successful awarding of the Department for Transport funding and be subject to a further report to Cabinet, which will set out the final financial elements of the 15% contribution.
