About

The Ethics and Engagement Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct for Lincoln councillors and co-opted members. It advises on, monitors, and provides training for the Members' Code of Conduct. The committee assesses and hears alleged breaches of the code, and can grant dispensations for members to participate in decision-making when conflicts of interest arise. It also considers governance matters, proposes guidance, and develops proposals to improve democratic engagement.
