About

The Performance Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the council's performance targets, budget progress, and key projects. It monitors service improvements, the use of council budgets, and the authority's risk management arrangements.

The committee advises on the performance implications of service reviews and considers the Council's Annual Report before publication. It can question Executive members and officers about decisions and their impact on performance. The committee also investigates patterns in complaints to identify areas of poor performance and can appoint panels to assist its work.
