Purpose

12 month extension of the current Librray Management System Contract to facilitate the procurement of a full 5 year contact by an open tender process

Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the Corporate Director has decided to:

1)    Approve the decision to extend the current contact for the cloud-based Library Management System from 01 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 at a cost of £133,564.23 including VAT as permitted by the terms and conditions of the contract.

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing - To allow the current contract to expire on 30 June 2025 before a new system has been procured would result in the unavailability of all existing library services as the LMS is business critical.
