Release of contingency funding

Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director has decided to:
1)   
Allocate £191,022 of additional Basic Need capital funding
towards the works required to create 125 additional places at The
Belvedere Academy to accommodate variances following the
procurement of the building expansion works.
 

Alternative options considered

1.1         
Do Nothing. Doing nothing is not an option. The GDST multi academy
trust have complied with their obligations under their grant
agreement with the Council and completed the works required to
deliver the additional school places. 
The Council therefore has an obligation under the grant agreement
to make this payment.
