Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the Corporate Director has decided to:

1)    Award a contract to Veran Performance Limited for the provision of readiness implementation support with a duration of 5 months for a total estimated value of £499,969.80

Alternative options considered

1.1          Do nothing – Not viable in this situation given the Council requires expert input in order to progress the ERP programme. Failure to secure these services would create programme delays, increased risks and potential cost overruns.

1.2          In-House delivery – The Council does not have the specialised resource, capacity or ERP technical knowledge to deliver the full scope of requirements internally.

1.3          Utilise another procurement vehicle to procure – The selected procurement framework, G-Cloud 14, was identified as the best option in this circumstance, given the increased amount of competition it provides. This route was also endorsed by the Commercial Procurement Unit’s Gateway Review Group.
