Purpose
Approval of land and CTA for the transfer of 4
schools to The Belong Trust ( Kirkdale St Lawrence, St Marys CE,
Childwall CE and Archbishop Blanch
Decision
For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director is recommended to:
1)
Grant approval for the Council to enter into the necessary transfer
documentation, including any land transfers, required to meet its
statutory duties.
Alternative options considered
The are no alternative options as the Council
is legally obliged to co-operate with academy conversion process.
Once an Academy Order has been granted the local authority must
comply with the process set out under the Academies Act 2010 and as
such, this decision is the only decision open to the Council
