Alternative options considered

“In-house Provision” - One option
would be for the Council to bring all (or part) of the delivery of
the programme in-house. This would have major implications in terms of
delivering the requirements of the LCRCA Trailblazer Grant as
the Council would find it difficult to mobilise a specialist
in-house team within the required timescales at
this point in time. This option is not recommended.

“Do Nothing” - An alternative
option would be for the Council to provide no support. This would
have major implications in terms of delivering the requirements of
the LCRCA Trailblazer Grant and would have a long-term negative
impact on the cohort of young people involved as it is known and
accepted that being NEET at a young age often has negative outcomes
for those young people concerned at a later stage in their lives.
This option is not recommended.
