Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director has decided to:
 
1)   
Direct award an NEC Engineering Construction Contract (ECC) to
Huyton Asphalt Civils Limited (company number 09734578). For the
construction of the Boundary Lane local safety scheme with an
estimate value of £111,247.10 excluding VAT.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing – this has been discounted,
if the road safety issues are not addressed then the Council will
not be able to discharge its statutory duty to make the roads
safer.
 
Undertake the work in-house – the
Council does not have the capability or expertise to undertake the
works required.
