Purpose

This DAR seeks permission to award the
technical consultancy contract to the successful tender respondent
following an open procurement process

Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director has decided to:
1)
Award the contract for a consultancy agreement (to the supplier as
detailed in Appendix 1 & 4) related to additional technical
consultancy support on the Liverpool Clean Air Plan (LCAP)
programme to deliver required tasks to complete the LCAP Programme
to meet requirements from the Government’s Joint Air Quality
Unit (JAQU).

Alternative options considered

In-house provision of services - The Council
has a legal mandate from the Government as outlined in paragraph
1.1 and does not have the resources required to deliver the
technical modelling work required.

Do nothing – This option was considered
but disregarded as the Council has a legal mandate from the
Government as outlined in paragraph 1.1.
