Purpose
The following Delegated Authority Report
records the decision of the Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods
and Housing to accept revenue grant funding of £2,400,946.87
from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA), awarded
as part of the Transport for City Regions (TCR) settlement.
Decision
For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director has decided to:
accept revenue grant funding of
£2,400,946.87 from the LCRCA; and
enter into the associated Grant
Funding Agreement with the LCRCA to receive the funds.
Alternative options considered
Do minimum: reducing the scope of the
activities and delivering reduced outputs would limit the number of
people that would be targeted in encouraging them to walk, cycle or
use public transport. Therefore, this
option was discounted.
Do nothing: this option does not align
with the council’s goals of delivering a well-connected,
sustainable and accessible city reducing car use and promoting
active travel. The TCR fund will
support a range of activities that the council would not be able to
fund otherwise. Therefore, this option
was discounted.
