Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the
Corporate Director has decided to:
1)   
Grant authority for the Council to enter into the necessary
transfer documentation including the land transfers required for
the conversion of Pinehurst School to an academy as part of the
Cheshire Academies Trust.

Alternative options considered

The are no alternative options as the Council
is legally obliged to co-operate with academy conversion process.
Once an Academy Order has been granted the local authority must
comply with the process set out under the Academies Act 2010 and as
such, this decision is the only decision open to the Council.
