Purpose

To accept funding to provide a grant towards the cost of installing pavement channels for electric charging cables

Decision

For the reasons set out in this report, the Corporate Director has decided to:

Accept a grant of £262,859.26 from Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to support installation of pavement channels for EV charging cables as detailed in the Grant Funding Agreement set out in Appendix 2.

Alternative options considered

Not accepting the grant would prevent the Council from supporting residents in transitioning to electric vehicles where they have no off-street parking and are able to install a home EV charger. Therefore, this option has been discounted.
