About

The Appointments Board is responsible for making recommendations and decisions regarding the appointment of senior council officers. It recommends to the full Council on the appointment of the Head of Paid Service and Chief Executive. The Board directly appoints the Deputy Chief Executive, Section 151 Officer, and Monitoring Officer. Additionally, it considers and reports to the Council on the appropriate pay levels for the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive.
