About

The Health and Wellbeing Board provides collective leadership to improve health and well-being across Medway, enabling shared decision-making and addressing health inequalities. It is responsible for preparing the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) to identify local health needs and developing a Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy to meet them. The Board also prepares the Medway Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and encourages integrated working between health, social care, and related service providers. It advises the Council's Cabinet on the discharge of its duties regarding the JSNA and strategy, reviews NHS commissioning plans, and plays a role in assessing the local Clinical Commissioning Group.
