The Scrutiny: Aspirational Merthyr Tydfil committee examines and promotes improvements in the Council's service delivery and adherence to its policies and objectives. It focuses on areas including school improvement, inclusion, attendance, planning of school places, additional learning needs, wellbeing, governor services, admissions, and the local management of schools. The committee also scrutinises services such as school catering, health and safety, cleaning, home-to-school transport, museums, libraries, and the Welsh language, including the Welsh in Education Strategic Plan.
