Purpose

Update on budget process 2025-29 and progress
towards setting a balanced budget and council tax for 2025/26. The
report will also present the latest details on the MTFS 2025-29 and
Capital Programme 2025-29.

Decision

RESOLVED:
 
A. That Cabinet considers the draft savings
proposals for 2025/26 to 2028/29 (Appendix 2) and agrees to refer
them to the Overview and Scrutiny panels and Commission in January
2025 for consideration and comment.
 
B. That Cabinet considers the emerging draft
Equalities Impact Assessments for each saving (Appendix 3), where
applicable, and refers them to the Overview and Scrutiny panels and
Commission in January 2025 for consideration and comment.
 
C. That Cabinet considers the draft additional
budget proposals to mitigate some emerging service pressures and
refers them to the Overview and Scrutiny panels and Commission in
January 2025 for consideration and comment.(Appendix 4)
 
D. That Cabinet considers the draft Capital
Programme 2025-2029 (Appendix 5) and agrees to refer it to the
Overview and Scrutiny panels and Commission in January 2025 for
consideration and comment.
