Purpose

This report sets out the Council’s intention to seek a development partner to deliver the Council’s vision and ambition for the regeneration of Morden Town Centre.

Decision

RESOLVED:

That Cabinet:

A. Approve the reset of the Morden regeneration programme in which the Council will lead and enable the regeneration of Morden.

B. Authorise the Executive Director for Housing and Sustainable Development to prepare a procurement process to seek a development partner to deliver the Council’s vision and objectives for Morden Town centre.

C. Agree the key outcomes and objectives the Council is seeking to achieve for the future of Morden Town Centre as set out in paras 4.10-4.15.

D. Note that a further report setting out the approach to procuring a development partner will be presented to Cabinet prior to launching the procurement process
