To undertake the set of activities within the
Council Requirements to get approval to go out to market to test
the market and procure the Main Service Provider of the MAL Service
Delivery. This is the preferable model as it was selected by the
council for efficiency and economic reasons and can be delivered at
no cost to council.

RESOLVED:
 
Cabinet is asked to:
 
A. Approve the procurement
approach for a new contract for the Main Service Provider of the
Merton Adult Learning Service Delivery. The contract will be for a
period of 3 years with the option for a contract extension of 2
years (1+1).
B. Agree delegation of
authority to award the subsequent contract/s arising from this
procurement exercise to the Executive Director for Children
Lifelong Learning and Families in consultation with the Lead Member
for Jobs, Skills and Education.
