Purpose

This paper seeks cabinet approval to progress the development of the Jan Malinowski Centre and adjacent Riverside Drive site. The project will deliver a new day centre that is fit for purpose for the residents of Merton with 21 supported living homes above, and also c.60 general needs homes to which the council will have nomination rights.

Decision

RESOLVED :

A. That Cabinet noted the increase in funding for the scheme to be progressed as part of the September 2024 Monitoring Report as set out in the exempt information contained in Appendix B section of the report.

B. That Cabinet noted the VAT position as set out at section 12 of the Report and additional specialised work being commissioned to optimise Merton’s financial status
