About
The Homes Policy Development Group supports the Mid Devon Council and its Cabinet by analysing current housing provision, performance, and policy issues. It undertakes preparatory work for policy development, including engaging with Cabinet members and other bodies. The group also reviews and scrutinises the performance of other public bodies in the area concerning housing.
Its specific remit includes delivering new affordable and social homes, improving existing housing stock, and addressing areas such as Housing Revenue Account (HRA) housing, tenancy management, income collection, tenant involvement, homelessness prevention, housing needs and allocation, housing enabling, and private sector housing.
