About
The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct among councillors and co-opted members within Mid Devon.
It assists members in observing the Code of Conduct, advises the council on its adoption or revision, and monitors its operation. The committee also provides training, grants dispensations for interests, and handles reports from the Monitoring Officer. Its remit extends to town and parish councils within the area, overseeing complaints handling, Ombudsman investigations, and the council's Constitution.
