Purpose

 
 
Recommendation that the Cabinet
Member approves a one-off Community Grant Fund programme to support
local community Victory in Europe Day on the 8th of May 2025 (VE
Day) and Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) on the 15th August 2025
celebrations.
 

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Communities and
Communications provided authorisation to:
(i) Establish a specific grant
fund of £25,000, drawn from the Councils Community Grant
Fund.
(ii) Establish an Officer
Assessment Process and Officer Approval Panel to be given the
authority to make the awards within the parameters set out in the
report.
