To review and refresh the Council's Health and Safety Policy and the strategy for the Risk and Health and Safety Team for the next 3 years.The policy is required by law set out under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 etc. it sets out how the council will manage health and safety and also delegates responsibilities to council members and officers.The strategy forms part of the corporate governance policy framework underpinning the Council’s Strategic Plan and sets out how the Council will ensure that both premises and operational health and safety is effectively managed across the authority.

Reasons for the decision

Three yearly review of policy to ensure that it still fulfils the local authorities requirements.
