Purpose

To consider approving the first Heat Networks
Policy and Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme funding.

Content

1.        
That, in order to ensure the Council delivers
strategic policy provision to support and direct the design,
development and delivery of Heat Networks in Milton Keynes,
the Heat
Networks Programme Plan, attached at Annex A to
the report,be
approved.

2.        
That the authority be delegated to the Director of
Environment and Property to:

(a)        approve the
Terms and Conditions of the proposed grant provided by Salix
Finance on behalf of the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero
(DESNZ) for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) to
enable Civic, Library and Woughton Leisure Centre boiler systems to
be converted from gas to heat exchangers to receive heat from a
District Heating Network; and

(b)       make non-material
arrangements to the grant funding and works
arrangements.
