Purpose

To consider the commencement of a procurement
exercise to appoint a contractor and consultants for the demolition
of Phase 1 of the REEMA blocks (Argyl, Edinburgh, Sawley and
Stirling Houses, Bletchley).

Content

1.        
That the commencement of a procurement exercise
for a contract for the demolition of the REEMA Blocks Phase 1 and
three blocks from Phase 2, via further competition under the
Procure Public Demolition Framework, be approved.

2.         That
authority be delegated to the Director of Environment and Property,
in consultation with the Cabinet member for Housing, to award the
demolition contract following the procurement process.
