Purpose

To consider approving the procurement and
award for professional services and all work relating to the
schools’ Capital Maintenance Programme 2027/32.

Content

1.         That the
proposed resource allocation of £2.03m for each year 2027/32
totalling £10.150m from Capital Maintenance Programme to fund
the capital works, be noted.

2.         That
tenders be obtained, through an appropriate framework, for the
provision of professional services for the five-year programme to
help develop the detailed annual programmes to then tender for
works required.

3.         That
authority be delegated to the Director of Environment and Property
to:

(a)        approve the
appropriate framework, or frameworks, to be utilised for the
professional services; and

(b)       approve the award of
the professional services contracts.

4.         That
tenders be obtained, through the open market via an open tender or
through appropriate frameworks, for all works required for the
Capital Maintenance Programme following approval for this programme
through relevant boards (Children’s Services Infrastructure,
Strategic Property and Corporate Portfolio).

5.         That,
subject to the successful tenders coming within the relevant
allocated budget, authority be delegated to the Director of
Environment and Property, in consultation with the Assistant
Director of Finance, to award the works contracts for all schemes
following the appropriate tender processes.
